Stuff About Me

All Deb Clem-Buckert wanted to do was to climb the corporate ladder until the day that Rosie was born. After nine years at The Kansas City Star, Deb took a leap  into the world of full-time Mommyhood, entrepreneurship and self-employment. She’s never looked back. When not working hard (the former Regional Manager for Plum District in KC is looking for the next big thing), driving to dance or setting play dates, Deb can be found on the tennis court or working on a worthy cause.

A former blogger on The Star’s site, Deb is now taking the leap into private blogdom (which she hopes will be drama-free and full of laughs). She’ll continue to write about mommyhood, but plans to spend time pondering  why a gal would want to work in a man’s world (answer: because she can run it. LOL).

I just stumbled across your blog. I like a lot of what you have to say and how you say it. But I don’t understand how you, a person who seems to be a devoted champion for mothers, could question what kind of mother raises a son to cause a massacre at a movie theater. This is obviously a case of mental illness. Please, please don’t blame the mother for what she did wrong. I am sure she’s dying inside herself. Such severe mental illness is not the product of bad parenting.
